February 18, 2021 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Upstate Lonestar Football Club as its newest expansion club ahead of the Spring Season.

Based in Whitesboro, NY, Upstate Lonestar FC will begin UPSL play in the Northeast Conference Western New York Division. The club will host its home games at Accelerate Sports Complex (5241 Judd Rd, Whitesboro, NY, 13492).

Hanson Goeso is CEO and President of Upstate Lone State FC. Thomas Nimineh is the Vice President, and Fredrick Erubare is the General Manager. Alen Jusic serves as the Head Coach.

UPSL Northeast Conference Manager Paul Konneh said, "The Western New York Division has seen a lot of growth in the last few months and we're happy to have Upstate Lonestar FC join the Northeast Conference. Hanson has run a smart operation in Upstate New York for more than 10 years and his club has grown to the point where it makes sense to join a strong national league like the UPSL. The Western New York Division is going to be stronger than ever this Spring Season and we wish Upstate Lonstar FC success."

Upstate Lonestar FC previously played in local amateur leagues and regional tournaments but now will compete exclusively in the UPSL.

"We chose to participate in the United Premier Soccer League as an organization because we believe that the league will provide a high level of competition as well as provide good exposure for the players, which will give our players and staff the opportunity to showcase our community's strength as a whole," Goeso said.

The club will announce its upcoming game schedule.

Founded in 2020, ULFC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
