January 15, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Olympiacos Soccer Club Washington, DC as its newest expansion team ahead of the Spring Season.

Based in Washington, DC, the club, known as "Olympiacos DC", will begin UPSL play in the Spring Season as part of the Northeast Conference Beltway Division. The club will host its UPSL home games at Annandale High School (4700 Medford Ave., Annandale, VA 22003).

Established in 2018, Olympiacos DC is an official academy of Olympiacos Football Club, from Piraeus, Greece.

UPSL Northeast Conference Manager Paul Konneh said, "Olympiacos DC is an outstanding addition to the UPSL and we're happy to have them join the Beltway Division. The club has a lot of experience in player development, both here in the United States and in Europe, and they make the most of their connection to Olympiacos FC in Greece. We're looking forward to seeing Olympiacos DC play in the UPSL."

Harry Karageorge is President of Olympiacos DC. Philipp Wank serves as Technical Director and Head Coach.

"Olympiacos DC is excited to a part of the UPSL family. The UPSL will challenge our players as we develop a local professional team to represent the values and philsophy of our parent soccer club in Greece, Olympiacos FC, on and off the field," Karageorge said.

Olympiacos FC's worldwide academies include two locations in the United States (DC and Chicago), as well as locations in Canada, Sweden, Cyprus, Dubai and Australia. Olympiacos DC serves the DC, Maryland and Virginia regions. The club's youth teams play in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL).

"We are excited to play in the UPSL. The UPSL provides an environment for top soccer players to further their collegiate and professional ambitions while offering a competitive soccer landscape," Wank said.
